A little clarity goes a long way
Three things to take away
For anyone getting married, their partner or others in the wedding party who want to understand their options before making decisions.
- Why oral health and your own priorities come before cosmetic changes.
- How whitening, alignment, bonding and veneers differ.
- What to ask about timing, maintenance and leaving treatment until later.
More about the topics we will explore
Start with health and your priorities
You do not need to change your teeth for your wedding. If there is something you would like to explore, start with oral health and what matters to you. A check-up can identify concerns that need attention before cosmetic treatment is considered.
Understand what treatments can and cannot do
Whitening changes the shade of natural teeth but not existing crowns or fillings. Alignment changes tooth position; bonding and veneers change appearance in other ways and have different maintenance needs and risks. Some approaches involve irreversible changes to teeth.
Make room for realistic timing
Assessment, treatment, healing and any adjustments take time. A wedding date does not make a treatment clinically appropriate or guarantee completion. Discuss your date at a separate appointment, including whether postponing treatment or doing nothing is the better choice.
Questions you might bring
- Which options are appropriate for healthy teeth?
- What risks, upkeep and replacement costs should I consider?
- What is realistic before my date, and what is better left until later?
Your invitation
You would be very welcome
Curious about the Wedding Smile Evening? Leave your name and email address and we will notify you when the date and arrangements are announced. You can then decide whether to book a place.
These evenings provide general educational information, not a clinical assessment. Individual suitability, treatment risks, plans and costs require a separate dental appointment.
